Basic Summary
First and foremost, I seek to be a follower of Jesus in all that I do, though I fail far too often. I echo the words of John Newton, the former slave ship captain who penned the words of Amazing Grace, “I am a great sinner, but Christ is a great Savior.”Early in life I acquired a solid work ethic. Growing up in Brewton, Alabama, I began my own lawn service at the age of 10 and continued it until I left for college. Building on this work ethic, I earned a place on Auburn University’s football team as a walk-on and eventually led as Captain of Special Teams my senior year. I was the 8th leading tackler on the team that year while never playing a down on defense, recording 26 tackles solely on kickoff and punt coverage teams. All the while, I worked through summers and holidays to pay my way through school. Additionally, I was heavily involved in various ministries including volunteering at a local development center for troubled youth and leading the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Auburn. I was a very religious person.
