Meetings
Below is a description of potential meeting types which may be found on the PM Platform.
Visitors and Subscribers of the PM Platform
Who can and cannot be a Customer of the PM Platform-
A Customer of the PM Platform may not be a Company or other Entity and must be an individual who can legally donate/contribute to a political candidate who is running an election campaign.
A Visitor to the PoliticalMeetings.com website and, or mobile App should understand that when they subscribe to our Services, $1 per month of the total amount of the base rate of $2.98 collected shall be designated “by the Customer” as a contribution/donation to the candidate of choice who can receive donations and is listed on the “PM Platform.” Subscribers may donate to as many candidates as they want. The subscriber does not incur additional fees from PM if they do not donate to more than three candidates and a choice of one Non-profit organization, the RNC (“Republican National Committee”) or DNC (“Democratic National Committee.”) The Customer is not required to donate to one of the Non-profit organizations, the RNC or the DNC.
Customers may contribute/donate to as many candidates as they choose. Subscribers may donate $1 (one dollar) to each of three separate candidates without incurring additional fees incurred by the PM Platform. Pay Gateway fees are paid by PoliticalMeetings.com when you donate to no more than one candidate. When you, the subscriber, donates to more than one candidate, you will incur 100% of any Pay Gateway fees including gateway fee charged for the “base rate.” When a candidate is unable to receive donations, this means that their listing is not an Enhanced Candidate Profile. Please contact us at business@politicalmeetings.com for assistance if you have questions about Candidate Profiles and how to access the system.
Free meetings listings are provided on our website which is populated through our own company research and are meetings which are also available on the internet to the public on other websites.
Please contact us at business@politicalmeetings.com if you believe that a candidate is no longer eligible to be listed as a candidate who is actively seeking election and for any other concerns regarding listings.
Candidates must adhere to local, state, and federal laws. The Candidate must complete a Permission Slip which includes instructions for setting up their Enhanced Candidate Profile which allows the service to be free as the Customer is the Subscriber/Donor.
Platform Security Measures
Federal Election Campaign Act requires candidates and other political committees to use best efforts to report that information for contributions aggregating over $200 in a calendar year from the contributor to that candidate, and that the information, once reported is made public on the Commission’s website. Each contribution made through PM must be aggregated with all other contributions made by the User to that candidate and that aggregate must be less than (legal contribution rate) per election.
Candidate’s Authorized Committee Representative Perspective:
1.Before a Visitor becomes a Subscriber who can donate through the PM Platform, Candidate must upgrade the Basic Profile to an Enhanced Candidate Profile by completing a Permission Slip. The only difference between a Basic Profile and Enhanced Profile is that the Candidate is voluntarily providing the data necessary for the PM Platform to facilitate donations to its campaign on behalf of our subscribers and by doing so can also provide by email on a regular basis a list of special events that are only for donors to the campaign. PM will make those meetings and invitations available via access to the PM Database exclusively to those who donate to the respective candidates that have the Enhanced Profile.
3.Candidate can invite voters to participate with PM’s Platform and can share its profile.
4.Candidate can invite those members by email with instructions on how to become a PM Subscriber.
5.Candidate does not currently have any control over the information on the campaign’s page and would complete a form or email PM with any information it would like published or information on meetings or fundraisers.
PM will verify the legal contribution limits per cycle and office held when applicable. We realize that this is an important record keeping aspect to comply with Federal, State and any local regulations.
The electronic form will require the following.
